The Blue Jay is a common, large and noisy bird. They are known for their intelligence and complex social systems with tight family bonds.
The oldest known wild, banded Blue Jay was at least 26 years, 11 months old when it was found dead in 2016. It had been banded in 1989.
This Blue Jay is hand cut 100% merino wool felt yardage which is hand and machine embroidered. It stands about 6 1/2” tall and measures 9 1/2" from beak to tip of tail. This Blue Jay has wire posable feet. Upon receiving, his feet may need to be bent for proper perching. This is a free standing soft sculpture.
