Embroidered Spotted Newt patch.
“The juvenile form of the Eastern Red-Spotted Newt is the Red Eft. The eft lives on land for one to three years, then grows gills and transforms into its aquatic adult form. Unlike many salamanders, red efts are both diurnal and nocturnal and often can be seen crawling over the leaf litter on the forest floor. They’re a sweet sight, a lovely addition to a spring hike through the woods. It is also New Hampshire's state amphibian."
This patch is machine embroidered on pale orange vintage wool blanket. It measures 3 1/2” x 1 3/4” and is intended to be sewn on. Great to be added your favorite jacket or jeans. Patches are also wonderful for mending to help cover holes. Slide one into a note and send it along with a handwritten message to a friend; a kind gesture during these uncertain times.
